New Car Storage Facility
About The Project
With the ambition to create the most secure, high quality, modern, car storage facility from scratch, a recent Strongman Lifts customer visited our stand at the NEC Classic Car show. He saw our display and asked us to quote for double stack parking lifts to achieve best density storage from the available space.
We visited site, measured up and discuss and presented options, and subsequently provided CAD layouts.
The finished facility looks amazing, and has provided a magnificent home for customers cars. This client has made his own small modifications to the lifts which has made a practical difference to their useability. The controls have been relocated by magnetically attaching them to lift legs, allowing the pendant arms to be removed, and the upramps have the addition of grip tape which has been advantageous when driving cars with fixed diffs, and, potentially, wet tyres, onto the lifts.
Our Donnington double stack two post lifts were chosen, with 2300kg capacity and providing full standing height under the raised platform (with plenty of locking positions available if taller vehicles are parked on top, or internal height is restricted.) These lifts have been positioned to maximise height afforded by the pitched roof, giving a row of double stacked cars above with the possibility to store two cars underneath to ensure maximum storage density from the available space.
We were also pleased to install a two post lift for the customer at this facility.
