The Forth: Double Width Car Parking Lift - Tandem Parking
The FORTH Double Width Parking Lift provides the perfect solution for long and short term storage for your vehicles, taking up very minimal space. By using a double-wide platform it is essentially replacing two 4 post lifts and so eliminates the two pairs of centre posts, gives clear space under the platform, giving greater flexibility particularly when the upper platform is raised for both manoeuvring, and providing space for wider vehicles.
The low profile platform thickness makes it suitable for many low clearance cars, central infill panels can be either the plastic oil drip trays provided or optional metal infill panels as shown in some of the photos. Whilst the lifting capacity of the lift is almost double that of the standard 4 post parking lift, we have still been able to retain the 240v single phase motor so no special wiring or electrical work should be needed other than getting your electrician to check out the system and make sure you have a motor rated breaker in your RCD board. The Forth comes with either manual or electric release.
The FORTH Double Width car Parking Lift, aka a double width stacker, is a take on the old 4 post ramp but cleverly modified to provide double width parking. Spaces for 4 vehicles is a great benefit in tight spaces. We have found that this lift is equally popular with both private users as well as commercial storage customers who perhaps have a lower turnaround on their vehicles – much depends on the nature of the end users requirements and the number of times the cars are taken out of the store. Certainly, the four post ramp design is good for providing clear access getting in and out of the cars being stored, and with longer term cars being stored we can offer as an option to provide 13amp electrical sockets to install car battery charges from.
Lift dimensions are great if you have floor space limitations or you are just looking to create more space.
Comes with 3 plastic drip trays per platform to prevent drips from the car above, falling on the car below. Metal infill panels are also available providing a solid deck that is load bearing. Please contact us for more information. The up ramps are fixed to the lift and fold back on themselves by 50%. They raise with the platform when the lift is in operation.
The Forth lifts to a maximum height of 2200mm (top platform surface) and has multiple locking positions up to this height allowing parking of a small car up to a 4×4 vehicle underneath.
